Veteran hip-life musician Okyeame Kwame, whose real name is Kwame Nsiah Apau, has also added his voice to the colossal volume of opinions that have been shared by entertainment critics and music fans in the last few days in the mainstream media and on social media.

The musician, who said he has never tried writing a song for any Gospel musician before, still believes that there is absolutely nothing wrong with any secular musician who does this.

“The Gospel means the word of God and even Jesus who is the standard, his critics called him a drunk and one filled with evil spirits.

“I do not also believe that every secular musician in this world does not love God. If you love God, you’re poor in spirit like myself. Hence, there is an inspiration to write Gospel songs for Gospel musicians. I am not sure there’s anything wrong with that,” Okyeame Kwame said.

He was speaking with Tony Best on Akoma FM‘s Entertainment 360 on Saturday, October 21.

The rapper is currently promoting his latest single ‘Insha Allah’ which features singer and rapper King Paluta.
